A catch-all e-mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to inactive addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss messages because the other side has an obsolete address or has made a typographical error. The drawback of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of spam emails, but this issue can be fixed using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also important to remember that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

Creating a catch-all mailbox will be pretty easy if you’ve got a Linux hosting with our company. You can activate the feature through our advanced, albeit intuitive Email Manager tool, which is an integral part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will administer the shared web hosting account itself. You will see all the mailboxes that you’ve set up shown alphabetically and on the right-hand side of each one of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly let you know if a specific mailbox receives all the emails associated with a certain domain name or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option at any time. In case there is active email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you’ll get a warning notice from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all email address with no more than a click in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated hosting with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud platform. All the addresses that you set up with any domain hosted in the semi-dedicated hosting account will be enumerated in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this feature will be to click that icon. In the very same way you will be able to turn off the feature, in case you don’t need it any longer. Our system will inform you in case you’re attempting to activate a second catch-all email address for a particular domain name or if there’s activated email forwarding, but it will never alter or deactivate anything automatically or without your permission.
